New Modular Classrooms to Boost Healthcare Career Opportunities for Cairns Students
Ausco was engaged by Bentley Park College in Cairns through the Department of Education and Training to deliver a new medical training precinct for the school. With a strong history of connectivity with industry through vocational training programs and partners, Bentley Park College was chosen as the site for the new medical training precinct due to being named Checkup Australia's first Gateway to Industry Health School in 2020.
Students from the college were also given the opportunity to visit Ausco's manufacturing facility to see the buildings being made and to learn about the various trades involved in the modular construction process.
"Huge thanks to Craig Canning, Manufacturing Manager, and George Leaver, Construction Supervisor, and the Ausco team for hosting our students." - Bruce Houghton, Principal, Bentley Park College
The precinct contains two classrooms, a three-bed hospital ward, GP Medical Office, General Office, Kitchenette and Reception area. The new, state of the art modular training precinct will service a diverse community of students in Cairns who aspire to work in healthcare.
