Ausco Modular was awarded a government contract to deliver temporary housing to fire-affected Mallacoota residents in Victoria. Bushfire Recovery Victoria engaged Ausco to construct facilities to meet the urgent need to provide short-term accommodation to local residents. With a spacious layout, the temporary modular homes offer all the conveniences and appliances of a regular home.
Each one, two and three-bedroom homes feature a kitchen and living area, bedrooms with built-in robes, a bathroom, a small veranda and modern appliances such as a split air-conditioning and heating system, a fridge, oven and television. Connection to water, sewage and electricity are also part of the package, allowing residents to live on-site, with their animals, while the rebuild happens. Without disrupting planning of their future residence, dedicated Ausco teams became consultant to manage future construction in the area in terms of selecting locality and services.
"I am writing to thank you and your team for your ongoing contribution the Short-term Modular Housing Program that is being delivered by Bushfire Recovery Victoria following the devastating Eastern Victorian bushfires of last summer. Your team’s hard work, dedication and the collaborative approach being taken has contributed to a successful program being delivered to fire affected communities, despite challenging circumstances. The program is directly assisting individuals and families who lost their homes in the fires to stay connected to their properties and their communities while they rebuild.”
