As demand for Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) accelerates across Australia, Ausco Modular is proud to be delivering innovative, quality housing solutions that support regional communities and government priorities.
The Q100 MMC Package 1 project, located in Gayndah, QLD, forms part of a broader program to deliver 35 modular homes for government employee and social housing across the state.
This particular home is a Government Employee Housing (GEH) asset - designed, manufactured, and delivered by Ausco with full site development and landscaping included. With MMC high on the national agenda, this project is a testament to the value of efficient, sustainable, and scalable modular construction.
Ausco was engaged to deliver a turnkey solution that included:
- Full design and manufacture of modular homes
- Civil, services and architectural planning for each site
- Installation and landscaping, ready for occupancy
Like many modular projects, tight timelines and external consultant coordination presented challenges. Additionally, factory headcount increased by 150% to meet production needs - a significant ramp-up that brought onboarding and safety management into sharp focus. Despite this, Ausco maintained strong delivery outcomes, demonstrating the agility and capability of its modular approach.
The home at Gayndah was delivered to a high standard, with only minor post-handover defects flagged - all of which are being resolved during the standard defects liability period. The quality and finish of the modular homes has been well received, further reinforcing the benefits of MMC in delivering housing quickly, safely, and to specification.
With the Q100 program continuing to roll out across Queensland, Ausco is proud to be part of the MMC conversation and delivering real, on-the-ground results. Projects like Gayndah are not only reshaping the way we build - they’re supporting regional communities and setting a new benchmark for speed, quality, and value in government housing.
