HE Parker Reserve Pavilion
Maroondah City Council identified that the previous fifty-year-old pavilion, home of the Heathmont Jets Football and Netball Club and Heathmont Cricket Club, had been outgrown by the clubs, particularly following a recent growth in female sport participation. Ausco Modular was engaged by the Council to design and deliver a new modular pavilion with a focus on inclusiveness and accessibility for all abilities.

The project was funded by a $500,000 grant from the Federal Government and $3.5 million from Maroondah City Council, with the sporting clubs raising additional funds for internal fit outs and further items.
The two-storey state-of-the-art facility includes four unisex compliant changerooms with cubicle shower facilities for player privacy, umpire changerooms, a medical/trainer’s room, storage areas, canteen/kitchen, and a large multi-purpose social function area with bar and cool room on the upper level with internal lift access. Ausco’s experienced site team worked tirelessly throughout COVID-19 restrictions to ensure the project was delivered safely for the customer.
As well as the clubs involved, the new pavilion will be home to the nominated community group Sport and Life Training (SALT) and it is envisaged that the facility will be used by the wider community, including local schools and social groups.
