Pinklands Sporting Complex

Pinklands Sporting Complex is the home to several local sporting clubs including rugby league, netball and horse riding, as well as various community groups. Redland City Council engaged Ausco Modular to design and construct a new changeroom facility to cater for a large concentration of female sport and recreation activity in the Redlands region. The modular facility includes two changerooms, with unisex compliant cubicle shower facilities for player privacy, and public amenities, including access for disabled persons.

“Sport really brings our community together across our Redlands Coast and these new facilities will provide much improved amenity for our young girls and women playing rugby league and netball at Pinklands,” said Member for Redlands Kim Richards.

Division 3 Councillor Paul Golle also reiterated the importance of adequate community facilities which will support Pinklands as a key Redlands venue for women’s sports.

“Pinklands is fundamental to female sports on Redlands Coast and these additional facilities will help to support community wellbeing and further encourage female participation in sport,” noted Cr Golle.

The commencement of site works to project handover to the Council was a mere eight weeks, ensuring minimal disruption to the various sporting clubs and community groups accessing the popular local sporting complex.
