Ausco was contracted by the City of Holdfast Bay in early March 2021 to provide new changeroom facilities for Glenelg Oval. The eight modules were delivered to the site in July with completion in August. That is a major advantage of modular constructed buildings, the quick turnaround as the majority of the production took place in our Edinburgh North facility in Adelaide, saving between 4-6 months compared to an on-site build. It also meant there was minimum disruption to the teams as they continued to train and host games during the construction.
On behalf of the City of Holdfast Bay, I would like to thank your project team for the successful delivery of the Glenelg Oval uni-sex changeroom building. This project was a first of its kind for Council, in that we had not ever partnered with a modular construction company to build community facilities before, and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. The project was delivered within 9 months of award of contract, on time, within budget, and ready for the upcoming cricket season.
