Hera-Nymagee Mine Case Study

Expanded camp to support the development of a new satellite mining operation

The Hera-Nymagee underground mine is located approximately 100km south-east of Cobar, central New South Wales. The project involves the development of the Hera gold base metal deposit and the Nymagee copper deposit. The Hera deposit commenced its first production in September 2014.

Ausco provided an 80-bed mining camp for the Hera mine in 2013, which included accommodation, laundry, gym, kitchen, and recreation room. Aurelia Metals have expanded this camp to support the development of a new satellite mining operation.

In 2021 we were commissioned to build, transport, and install stage 2, which consists of 16 modules for accommodation and a new laundry. The ensuite accommodation sleeps one
person and includes storage space, air-conditioning, and TV.  Ausco also built large, covered decks that make it easy for staff to move around and offer necessary shade.
