Ausco Highlights of 2024: Building communities, celebrating milestones, and making memories

As we reflect on a year full of achievements, Ausco has continued to deliver innovative, sustainable, and community-focused modular solutions across Australia. From rural Queensland to bustling Sydney, here’s a look at some of the biggest moments from 2024 that made this year one for the books:

1st Anniversary of Windorah Medical Centre

What a year it’s been for the Windorah Medical Centre! In 2023, we had the privilege of helping bring vital healthcare to this remote town. Earlier this year we celebrated its 1st anniversary and we’re thrilled to see how much it’s made an impact. Located in the heart of rural Queensland, this modular medical facility has not only improved access to healthcare but has become a symbol of resilience and innovation.

The celebration of this milestone was filled with gratitude from the local community, and we’re proud to have played a part in ensuring that healthcare is no longer a distant dream for the residents of Windorah.

First Multi-Storey Hire Education Solution for Cannon Hill Anglican College

Brisbane saw a groundbreaking moment this year with the completion of our first multi-storey hire education solution for the Cannon Hill Anglican College. This project marked an exciting leap forward in modular education buildings, combining functionality and sustainability in a two-storey temporary solution.

Students are now benefiting from incredible learning spaces that foster creativity and collaboration. The project also reflects Ausco’s commitment to shaping the future of education through innovative, flexible solutions that grow with the needs of students and educators alike. We’re thrilled to have been part of the journey, and we can’t wait to see the next chapter unfold.

Shenton College’s Multi-Storey ProgressED Classrooms

Speaking of multi-storey solutions, we also had the privilege of delivering the Progress Education Building at Shenton College in Perth. This monumental project is a testament to the power of modular innovation, featuring a multi-storey design that maximises space and efficiency while maintaining a welcoming, vibrant environment for students.

With flexible classrooms, collaborative spaces and STEM rooms, the Progress-ED solution is setting new standards for educational facilities, showing just how high modular solutions can go - literally and figuratively!

Kitchen Facilities at Prominent Hill for BHP

Over the past few months, the onsite build for BHP at Prominent Hill, located 650 kms north-west of Adelaide, has been a true team effort. Working alternate weeks, our team dedicated long hours to ensure the completion of the new kitchen facilities. BHP tasked Ausco with creating a new kitchen facility that would feel more like a café or diner rather than the typical mine site kitchen.

A special highlight of the project was the visit to previously completed Ausco projects in the camp. While the red earth and "one too many flies" are a classic part of the outback experience, the team was proud to see the positive impact of their earlier work. This latest build represents another important step in Ausco’s commitment to providing quality facilities in even the most remote locations.

Supporting the Garbutt Magpies Cup – Celebrating Sports and Community in Townsville

It’s not just about buildings; it’s about community, and we love getting involved in local events that bring people together. For the 10th year running, we were proud to support the annual Garbutt Magpies Cup in Townsville, an event that brings together teams, families, and friends for a weekend of competitive sport and good vibes.

Our sponsorship is all about creating teamwork and community spirit, and seeing the joy on everyone’s faces reminded us of why we do what we do: to create spaces that bring people together, whether for work, play, or support.

Temporary Site Facilities for Multiplex at Sydney Fish Markets

In the bustling heart of Sydney, we partnered with Multiplex to provide temporary site facilities at the iconic Sydney Fish Markets development. This project is a massive undertaking that will transform the site into a world-class destination, and we’re proud to be a part of the behind the scenes action.

Our modular solutions are providing a seamless, flexible space for the project team as they work on this large-scale, high-profile project. It’s a perfect example of how Ausco’s modular buildings can play a crucial role in keeping projects running smoothly, even in the most dynamic of environments.

Large-Scale MMC Social Housing Projects Across Regional Queensland

Perhaps one of our most significant achievements this year is our ongoing contribution to government and social housing projects across regional Queensland. Through large-scale Modern Methods of Construction, we’re helping deliver much-needed affordable housing to communities in need. These projects are not just about building homes; they’re about creating sustainable, thriving communities where people can put down roots and build a better future.

This year, we made incredible strides in expanding our reach across the state, ensuring that Queensland’s regional communities benefit from high-quality housing solutions that will stand the test of time.
