Shining bright and finding her feet

The first thing you notice about Molly is her smile. It is obvious how genuine she is by her wide smile and bright eyes. The second thing you notice is how organised she is. Molly seems to be permanently one step ahead of whatever is going on in life. Molly recently celebrated her first year at Ausco and this bright spark seems to have found her feet in the factory.

Molly started her career with aspiration of being an event manager. Her natural inclination to organisation, worth ethos and positive outlook would have made her successful in that industry but it wasn’t to be and Molly found herself working in the logistics industry. Despite her universal work traits, she felt her wings were clipped and there was little career progression.

Then, in December 2021, a sales administration role came up at Ausco and, with her bright optimism safely in hand, she applied and was successful. Within a couple of months, Molly knew that Ausco was for her but perhaps not sales. Those around her saw promise as well and when an administration role became available in the Riverview manufacturing facility, she was encouraged to apply and was, again, successful.

Seeing Molly in her fully PPE Safety equipment walking the factory floor it is obvious she has found her feet in steel toe capped boots.

“Ausco has started its Operational Excellence journey and I really enjoy being a part of that. I am so grateful for the training opportunities I have been given. I never thought I would ever end up being trained in Six Sigma methodology and now I see career progression and a future,” explains Molly.

With confidence in her future, Molly has bought her first home and is stoked.

So all that get up and go, organisation, efficiency and forward thinking which she hoped would make her a gun event manager is now moulding her into an administration and manufacturing specialist. But one step at a time.

Molly continues, “I never thought I would be a member of team which is planning and delivering lean manufacturing but I love it. I also have a soft spot for our Coomera Connector job. I worked on the bid when I was in sales and then onboarding the modules when I moved to the factory. It is really satisfying to see something from start to finish.”

When we meet with Molly we are walking around the Coomera Connector job and it is clear her affection and interest in the precinct. We look forward to seeing where Molly goes in life but you can be assured she will make the best of it.

Thanks Molly.
