Installation of 304-person mobile camp completed in just 5 weeks
Late 2019, Ausco Modular’s Remote Accommodation team successfully mobilised a 304-person camp to site at the Eliwana Mine and Rail project in the Pilbara, Western Australia.
Fortescue Metals Group’s US$1.375 billion project included the development of 143 kilometres of rail, a 30 million tonnes per annum dry ore processing facility and infrastructure, with first ore on train delivered in December 2020.
The mobile camp was installed to accommodate Fortescue’s workforce during the construction of the railway.
Due to the site location being three hours from the nearest town of Newman and six hours from the city of Karratha, Ausco’s team had to ensure they were prepared and equipped to complete the project.
